Multimedia

A collection of projects completed in COM 346 Multimedia Communication.

“Sound Photographs”

For this project, students recorded 10 original and distinct sounds, then traded within the class in order to take inspired photographs of a classmate’s sounds.

“Photoshop Collage”

This was created under the prompt: “what does self-portrait mean to you?” under the constraints of a digital Photoshop collage. The approach I took with this project was to express the core memories, places and people that have made up my life presented in a nostalgic way, hopefully reminiscent of how they can feel in one’s head.

“Archival Footage”

This assignment centered on the class’ usage of “archival video”, meaning any clip or media that already existed prior. Using both Archive.org and YouTube, this project was an entertaining way to practice my editing skills in Adobe Premiere. I approached this project in a comedic light, and I aimed to showcase the fun and chaotic nature of the internet through stylized and entertaining editing techniques.

“Handmade Collage”

Our very first project in the class, we worked with magazines and newspaper clippings with a great amount of freedom to introduce ourselves to the concept of multimedia art.

“Stop Motion Video”

For our final project in the course, we did individual stop motion video shoots. I created my own original audio as an entertaining parody of one of my favorite video games.
